Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Grants Pass has been involved in planting churches in the Amazon Basin for the last 14 years. Each year we take teams down to the Brazilian Amazon to join with Brazilian missionaries, Nilton and Cleo Cordeiro, to help build churches, heal the sick, refresh and bless the local missionaries and travel with them on a boat to evangelize the small, remote villages of the vast Amazon River. We also minister with North American missionaries in other areas to distribute water filters and give supplies that help open doors and bless the Brazilians like reading glasses, hats and sunglasses, medicine, clothes and toys. With the North American missionaries, it is a Vineyard movement, and with the Brazilians we work under PAZ, Project Amazon.
In 2009, we will be taking down two teams, one for each base, during the months of July and August.
